Job Overview
Hirschbach is currently seeking a CDL Program Manager to ensure efficient and effective oversight of our CDL Training Program.
The CDL Program Manager focuses on meeting capacity demands, ensuring all team members are performing to standards, and provides leadership, direction, and coaching when needed. This position also serves as a working manager, stepping in to cover road tests and assist with overbooked classes.
Duties Include:
- Ensures compliance in accordance with the Hirschbach Training Program curriculum.
- Manages the CDL Program team and provides regular performance feedback.
- Manages resources assigned to the location for training purposes.
- Manages location schedules and work assignments, and overall day-to-day functions of the CDL Program.
- Ensures driver hiring processes and procedures are documented, trained, and followed.
- Trains and develops new CDL Instructors.
The CDL Program Manager also assists with content development, process/systems development, and the scheduling and coordination of training events.
Talent Requirements
- All candidates must have a current CDL with medical card.
- A minimum of two years of tractor/trailer experience or OTR driving preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent in education.
- Previous experience as a supervisor or manager.
- Displays strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
- Ability to coach, teach, train, and mentor.
- Ability to prioritize functions and deal effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and energy.
- Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple programs.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments for training purposes.
- Displays and demonstrates an "All In to Win" attitude and performance including self motivation and a strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment.
