Your Responsibilities
As a NVH Engineer for John Deere located in Dubuque, IA, your responsibilities will include providing Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) simulation and analysis support to improve product performance. In addition, you will...
- Utilize NVH expertise to enhance product performance
- Actively research and deploy state-of-the-art NVH methods at Deere, and provide technical leadership and mentoring for the NVH
- Providing Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) testing and analysis support for various C&F products including field testing, lab testing and data analysis to improve product performance

What Skills You Need
- 3+ years of experience in NVH analytical tools such as Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), Boundary Element Methods (BEM), and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- 3+ years of experience in experimental test setup, multi-channel data acquisition, digital signal processing, and data analysis
- 3+ years of experience with NVH test methods including sound power, noise source localization, and modal analysis
- 3+ years NVH product development experience in automotive, aerospace, off-highway, or heavy equipment manufacturing industry
- Strong fluency in English
- Understanding and practice of engineering principles as they relate to off-road mobile products
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with modern NVH modeling methods such as Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), Boundary Element Methods (BEM), and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Experience with Simcenter 3D, VAOne, and/or equivalent NVH data analysis tools
- Experience with Simcenter Test.Lab, B&K Pulse, and Artemis, and/or equivalent NVH data acquisition systems
- Knowledge of standard acoustic and vibration testing for mobile equipment, such as radiated sound power, vehicle pass-by, operator exposure and whole-body vibration
- Experience with Off-highway equipment engine, powertrain, hydraulic, hydrostatic, operator station systems.
- Knowledge of standard acoustic and vibration testing for mobile equipment, such as radiated sound power, vehicle pass-by, operator exposure and whole-body vibration
- Experience with electric drive systems NVH
- Knowledge of standards and regulations relative to environmental and operator noise and vibration
- Familiarity with CAD tools, Pro/E
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- MS or BS degree in Mechanical, Acoustical or similar Engineering
