Bindery Operator/Machine Operator – No experience required!

Job Overview

Union-Hoermann is proud to be a fourth generation, family-owned printing company.  We are currently looking to add a Bindery Operator to our team in our climate-controlled facility!

The bindery operator is responsible for operating the machine that binds the pages of books, magazines, and other products. This person will also be responsible for operating the machines and performing regularly scheduled maintenance checks on equipment.

What will your day look like?

Your day will start by reading work orders and setting up the equipment according to the project.  You will communicate with other members of the team to coordinate efforts.  You will check the machines before and after each project and clean prior to the next project. Much of your day will be spent standing.

Requirements:

• Previous bindery or press experience helpful, but not required!
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic math calculations
