Digital Building Scanning Technician

Job Overview

Gronen is a full-service community centered, development, construction, brokerage and property management company who is experiencing growth across all of its divisions. Gronen is seeking a scanning technician to assist in its construction division. Gronen is a leader in historic rehabilitation and new construction.

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Project Managers, the candidate would be responsible for the 3D digital scanning of existing buildings, allocating project resources, and managing their time and tasks while creating a positive, safe climate. This position has an exceptional level of independence.  The ideal candidate thrives while working in variable locations inside and outside while also having a strong sense of spatial relationships and the ability to understand the technology being used.  This temporary position has the potential to continue into the fall and winter.

Essential/Primary Responsibilities:

• Utilizing current technologies to perform 3D scans of existing buildings
• Digital scan alignment and drafting
• Time management and coordination to develop and execute independent workplans that produce high-quality and timely results
• Effective coordination and communication with building owners and occupants
• Project and process documentation
• Additional tasks assigned by Project Managers
