IBMI (AS400) Systemi Operator

Job Overview

The IBMi (AS/400) System Operator is responsible for supporting the IBMi users of Hirschbach Motor Lines.  This position is the first level of support for Hischbach’s TMS software and requires interactions with users at all Hirschbach locations.

Job Responsibilities

Duties for this position can include the following:

• Creating and managing system user profiles, assigning and revoking user profile rights/authorities and resetting user profile statuses.
• Managing system database tables, monitoring and handle record locks and perform regular system table maintenance.
• Working with Trimble/Innovative TMS software to manage, order, load statuses of driver. Adjusting the TMS data as required by customers and end-users.
• Maintaining the AS/400 operating system by installing updates as PTO packages from IBM. Notifying IBM support when monitoring hardware events and replication software.

Job Training and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Familiarity with IBMi (AS/400) operating system
