Production Lead- SPAM- 3rd Shift

Job Overview

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for self-directed work, essential for keeping the production line running and meeting key results.
• Responsible for actively training other associates in their position.
• Responsible for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of SPAM Canning and Packaging line. Examples may include replacing common wear parts, and timing of Hema and trouble shoot all FM detection equipment.
• Actively involved in setup, changeover, teardown, or running of the SPAM Canning and Packaging as needs arise.
• Sanitation duties as assigned (GMPs).
• Completes basic inspection and lubrication PM’s as assigned.
• Communicates more complex issues to Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Engineers, and Operations Management.
• Completes production, maintenance and quality control administrative tasks as assigned.
• Forklift certified.
• Be able to write workorders and use basic AS-400 functionality such as scheduling, room inventories, usage, and production verification.
• Tuesday – Saturday alternative shift with weekend work as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:          Working knowledge of and capability to successfully troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.  Verbal and written communication skills are necessary including basic computer proficiency.  Good organizational and time management skills. Applicants will be required to successfully complete the Mechanical Test.
