As an Accounting Clerk you are responsible for follow-up on outstanding Official Checks, Money Orders and Accounts Payable Checks. Completes process on claims of lost or destroyed Official Checks and Money Orders. Assists with month-end functions, will also be responsible to provide backup to share draft exception processing, negative account procedures, check processing and ACH procedures.

Essential functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily ACH processing. This would include both pulling in files and working through exceptions. Also be backup to ACH position in case of time off.
  • Acts as backup to: Share Draft processing and JMFA duties, item processing, ACH debit origination, bank reconciliations for Official Checks, Money Orders and Accounts Payable accounts, Share class changes and General Ledger entries.
  • Communicates with remitters of stale dated checks and money orders through calls, e-notes and letters to determine the status of the item. Takes action to resolve the items stale date status.
  • Point of contact for staff regarding wire transfers. Will manage both the incoming and outgoing wires and maintain appropriate logs. Work closely with front line staff regarding proper procedures for completing the forms.

Hours worked would me Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM.
