Job Overview
The Manufacturing Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting and identifying opportunities to ensure seamless movement of customer orders through the supply chain (order entry, purchasing, manufacturing readiness, distribution, etc) to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analysis of manufacturing readiness to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing and delivery
- Ability to work cross functionally with other teams in Flexsteel to meet customer lead time expectations
- Ensure materials are in place to support efficient and effective scheduling of customer orders
- Leads the development of advanced analytics to identify issues before they impact customers
- Identifies and develops key reports and data required to drive efficient manufacturing
- Tracks and reports identified KPI’s and metrics
- Recognizes and values customers and fellow associates by:
- working to meet clearly stated internal customer requirements
- looking for opportunities to improve work processes
- Perform extensive research and analysis using relevant systems and Microsoft Excel
- Transform raw data into relevant information to be used for executive level business decisions
- Become Subject Matter Expert in functional use of corporate systems
- Act as liaison between the inside sales department and North American manufacturing sites
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BA/BS degree in business or supply chain or related field
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education
Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency to service customers
Analytical and problem solving skills
2-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or related role (preferred)
Experience in cross functional planning and analysis in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Advanced MS Excel Skills and AS400 experience (preferred)
Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes (preferred)
