Job Overview
RT&T Enterprises, Inc. is currently seeking an Operations Support Specialist, to maintain and enrich current Operations Department responsibilities. The Operations Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting Operations and Customer Service.
Our Operations Support Specialist will help maintain RT&T’s culture of Meeting and Exceeding Expectations by supporting the Operations department with current functions and assisting with continued enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and interact with the driver fleet
- Support Operations and Customer Service functions
- Act as the primary back up to Driver Management responsibilities
- Learn Load Planner functions, for back up and understanding dispatch boards
- Serve as the point of contact for detention/lumper approval and reimbursement
- Process and manage OS&D (overage, shortage, & damage) events
- Follow up and support with service failure and dwell reports
- Execute load entry in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Update Customers in the TMS as needed
- Rotate in the On-Call schedule with Operations and Customer Service
- Play a significant role in long-term retention efforts, including initiative geared toward driver revenue and profitability
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Fleet Operations experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to multitask and work under limited supervision, while upholding company objectives
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow implemented processes
- Timely and accurate order entry
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view
- Persuasive with details and facts
- High comfort level working in a diverse environment
- Willingness to learn FMCSA rules and regulations
