Job Overview

Job Description

This individual will be provided tools and equipment to cut, saw, and machine wood parts to fabricate wood products. This position will also include packaging completed products for shipment.

Essential Duties

• Fabricate wood windows, doors & shutters as well as other millwork products using carpenter and woodworking skills.
• Safely operate industrial equipment such as saws, shapers, planers, jointers, and moulders to cut and shape wood.
• Set up the machines and tools to cut, shape, & sand wood parts to specified measurements.
• Understand detailed shop drawings and cut list used to build product.
• Priming and painting with spray system may be included.
• Verify dimensions with a tape measure/ruler and calipers.
• Will train, but some woodworking skills would be preferrable.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work as a team or independently
• Capability to follow directions and work safely
• Mechanically inclined and good at working with your hands
• Strength to lift heavy pieces of lumber
• Knowledge to operate power tools
