Medical Assistant Scholarship

Grand River Medical Group is currently offering a 100% tuition assistance scholarship opportunity for medical assistant students who have enrolled* in the Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) Medical Assistant program starting in Fall 2023, located in Peosta, Iowa. *All applicants must already be accepted into the NICC program or on the wait list to apply.

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Grand River Medical Group, you will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, reviewing medication histories, performing venipunctures, obtaining urine specimens, giving injections, and other tasks required to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Scholarship Details:

• 100% tuition assistance scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year.
• Full-time employment at one of our clinics in Dubuque, IA after program completion and passing the certification exam.

Employment details upon graduation and passing the certification exam:

• Full-time employment.
• Flexible hours dependent upon clinic location, position availability will depend on current openings at time of graduation.
• Grand River Medical Group's primary and specialty care clinics are typically open 7:30am - 5:00pm., with our Acute Clinic and Urgent Care open Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. -7:00 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Accepted into or on the waitlist for the Medical Assistant program at NICC beginning August 2023.
• The ideal candidate would be an ambitious self-starter, who is willing to help wherever they can. You will experience a new workload every day and will have the support and encouragement for your fellow co-workers to continue to grow in your role.
