Job Overview
As an Internal Auditor at Crescent Electric, you will complete planning, testing, and reporting for risk-based operational internal audits of corporate, district, and branch operations. You will also periodically assist with the development and execution of enterprise risk management processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

Assist with scoping and objective setting for internal audit engagements.

Collaborate with process owners and other members of management to understand and document business objectives, risks, and internal controls.

Complete walkthroughs to understand and document key business processes in flowchart or narrative format.

Assess adequacy of control design in mitigating associated risks. Determine appropriate populations to test risks and controls and select appropriate samples.

Conduct control effectiveness testing and other audit procedures to determine compliance with standards and established procedures.

Leverage data analysis to test full populations, when appropriate. Recognize existence of issues and evaluate their significance.

Communicate test results verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Ensure workpapers, reports, and other deliverables are clear, concise, and supported by procedures performed. Follow-up on closure of management’s corrective action plans.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.

Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.

Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Must be analytical.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, or related field.

1+ years of internal or external audit experience, preferred.

Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time with overnight stays.
