Inventory Planning Analyst

Job Overview

Spahn & Rose Lumber Co, the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, has an opening for an Inventory Planning Analyst at our corporate office in Dubuque. This position is responsible for analyzing date reports, generating system updates, and performing quality control functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze inventory levels and demand trends to ensure products are always in stock
• Collaborate with team members on report creation and maintenance
• Evaluate the inventory strategy, DC capacity planning, and inventory turn optimization
• Coordinate, create, review and process suggested orders for yards
• Troubleshoot any order discrepancies and receiving issues
• Develop relationships with yard personnel and suppliers to better understand needs
• Review and update inventory adjustments and errors
• Audit material replenishment cycles for accuracy and problem solve for resolutions
• Maintain EDI system as well as implement new suppliers as needed.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by Purchasing Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, supply chain management, demand forecasting or related field required
• Self-motivated with the ability to execute tasks with minimal direction
• Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve and meet deadlines
• Strong math, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and follow up skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Proficient PC skills using MS Office, specifically Excel as this person will be responsible for reporting duties
• Maintain positive relationships with internal/external customers and staff.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Spahn & Rose' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, commissions, profit sharing, and other benefits.
