Express Employment in Platteville has partnered with a company in Southwest, WISCONSIN to support them in a position as an Payroll Auditor. 

The Payroll Auditor works under the supervision of the Payroll Audit Supervisor and performs payroll audits and quality control functions to ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and company policies.

• Performs quality control audits of data entry in core HCM system, based on company pay polices.

• Review of punch exceptions from the biometric timekeeping system for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Executes assigned human resources audits to maintain compliance with hiring policies and procedures.

• Documents audit findings for tracking and retention purposes.

• Report audit findings to appropriate stakeholder(s) depending on the type of audit.

• Establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with co-workers; effectively communicates with management via verbal and written communications

• Work harmoniously with persons assigned to assist in the payroll process

• Other audits and duties as they arise=

YOUR MUST HAVES:

•    Associates degree or equivalent education and/or payroll experience

•    Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and outlook

•    Experience with BI Software Products such as Tableau or Power BI

•    Related work experience as an Internal Auditor

•    High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

•    Strong critical thinking skills to make informed decisions

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education

•    Ability to pick up new tasks as assigned on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis

•    Ability to adapt to change quickly as the company grows and policies and laws update

•    Self-starter with the ability to work as a team as well as individually

 Wage: $20-$23/hour
Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday
Position Type: Temp with possibility for Eval to Hire
