Your Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Crisis Program Manager will ensure the effective delivery of crisis intervention and outpatient
services to individuals experiencing mental health crises, as well as provide leadership and support to the clinic staff. This
position involves supervising clinical and administrative operations, coordinating with community partners, and ensuring
the provision of high-quality care and services to those in need. This also includes:
- The A New Day Program Manager will ensure the effective delivery of crisis intervention and outpatient
services to individuals experiencing mental health crises, as well as provide leadership and support to the clinic staff. This
position involves supervising clinical and administrative operations, coordinating with community partners, and ensuring
the provision of high-quality care and services to those in need. - Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with best practices, ethical
guidelines, and relevant regulations. - Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical services provided by the crisis clinic, ensuring adherence to professional
standards and regulatory requirements. - Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, outcome measures, and data collection processes to assess
program effectiveness. - Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning among
staff members. - Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including hospitals, law enforcement agencies, crisis hotlines,
and mental health organizations. - Coordinate and collaborate with external stakeholders to establish effective referral pathways and ensure seamless
continuity of care for clients. - Monitor and track expenses, review financial reports, and identify cost-saving measures without compromising the quality
of care. - Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the clinic's budget, ensuring the effective utilization of
resources and adherence to financial targets. - Additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
- Proven experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, or similar roles,
preferably within a nonprofit or community mental health setting - Experience measuring and developing key performance standards
- Experience with fiscal management
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of successfully
supervising and motivating a team - In-depth knowledge of mental health crisis intervention techniques, risk
assessment, and safety planning - Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing mental
health services - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and
accuracy - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and maintain effective
relationships - Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software
applications

About the Program
A New Day Behavioral Health Walk in Clinic believes that access to services should be present prior to a crisis but are also trained to support our community members in a crisis response. We hope that our welcoming space will help to assist with crisis of mental health and substance abuse. As an alternative placement for voluntary crisis care, A New Day will help with diversion from emergency departments, inappropriate placement in and inpatient hospital units, and jail.
Hillcrest Mobile Crisis Outreach provides 24/7 crisis response to individuals in Dubuque County. Crisis counselors provide in-person crisis response to anywhere in Dubuque County the client may be. Crisis counselors are trained in suicide assessment and crisis de-escalation. Crisis counselors will also provide follow-up and linkage to additional resources.
