Job Overview
This position is hybrid but will office out of one of the following locations, Cedar Falls, IA, Hubbard, IA or Monticello, IA.
Primary Objective: Solves company-level information needs by analyzing requirements, designing, and creating information output, recommending process changes, and implementing systems. Administers company network, user profiles, user security, system servers, network equipment, phone systems, and system backups. Provides end-user support for employees at all company locations.
Areas of Accountability:
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.
- Maintains maximum up-time availability of all company network and supporting server infrastructure to support business needs.
- Maintain virtual and physical servers, switches and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
- Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
- Monitor and evaluate network security systems and recommend improvements or system upgrades.
- Create, maintain, and support network and business systems users/permissions and equipment.
- Install and configure computer/network equipment and supporting infrastructure.
- Provide end-user support by providing issue resolution via phone calls, email, IM, and ticketing systems.
- Recommend operational changes by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements, and formulating viable upgrades and additions.
- Administer VOIP telephone systems at all locations and coordinate with the vendor for updates and changes.
- Configure and monitor daily backups on local and DR systems and support the overall company DR plan.
- Experience with Cyber Security platforms is a plus.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Windows Server administration including Active Directory, network protocols and domain management.
- Experience with virtualization and virtual machines.
- IT infrastructure experience such as server hardware, network hardware, cabling and wireless.
- Ability to analyze information and provide timely and effective response to issues.
- Documenting business processes and system configurations.
- Server scripting and automation experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office 365 Administration.
- Strong people skills, good written and verbal communications, follows directions, meets deadlines.
- Ability to travel to different locations and work independently to address and resolve issues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to always follow all safety policies and procedures.
- IBM iSeries experience is a plus.
- Experience with ERP Systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability:
Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or, on occasion, carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds. Also, flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, climb, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Some tasks involve repetitive motion.
