Now hiring a Registered Nurse!

Dubuque Surgery is a busy general surgery practice currently seeking an experienced Registered
Nurse. This is a full-time position of 35-40 hours per week, with rotating Friday afternoons off.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare patients for clinic office visits by establishing a patient relationship, obtaining
vitals, documenting current medications, allergies, and medical history in an electronic
medical record system.
- Assist the surgeon with examinations, office-based procedures, ordering diagnostic
studies and scheduling surgeries.
- Triaging nurse phone calls, answering patient questions, communicating results to
patients, obtaining prior authorizations, and coordinating patient care with other
medical providers.
- Provide patient education, communicate the surgeon’s advice and instructions to
patients and/ or family members and gauge the understanding of the information
provided.

Education/ Experience/ Skills:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses.
- New graduates welcome.
- Must be a licensed RN with an active license to practice in the state of Iowa.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
