Upper Mississippi Surgery Center (UMSC) is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center currently under development in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, scheduled to open in the Summer of 2024, with three operating rooms. Ideal candidates for employment at UMSC will be dynamic self-starters possessing a positive, team-oriented approach to their work.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to utilize their skills in the start-up and ongoing management of this new and growing facility!

Perioperative Clinical Leader
Key Duties Include:
- Work with the Board of Managers, Medical Staff, Administrator, and facility staff to assure the provision of convenient, cost-effective, and quality surgical care.
- Provide effective supervision to clinical personnel. Schedules, coordinates, and delegates nursing and clinical activities throughout the surgery center.
- In collaboration with the facility administrator, responsible for the hiring, corrective action, and termination of clinical employees.
- Assure clinical processes and policies maintain compliance with industry standards as well as all regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the comprehensive orientation/annual education programs.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the organization's quality improvement program and related policies/procedures.
- Promote cost containment and efficient use of facility resources.
- Participate in primary care of patients and oversee clinical areas to verify that patient needs are met.
- Establish and enforce a positive, team-oriented culture within the facility.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, coworkers, and the general public. Promotes a favorable facility image.
Required
- Licensed RN in state of Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Direct patient care experience in Operating Room and/or Perianesthesia areas
- Evidence of strong leadership qualities
- Strong communication skills that promote interpersonal relations, customer service, and teamwork
Strongly Preferred
- ASC experience
