The university seeks to fill two full-time tenure track faculty appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2024. The positions require expertise in elementary education and at least three year’s teaching experience (with a reading endorsement) at the elementary level. The ideal candidate should have a doctorate in education or a related field. Candidates who are ABD and/or highly experienced master’s level candidates will be considered. An additional endorsement in reading is expected for these positions. For these faculty appointments, previous experience in higher education is preferred.

The Education Department offers the opportunity to teach and study in our Professional Development School (PDS) programs, including junior and senior-level interdisciplinary courses in public and private elementary schools. Majors and areas of study at the PDSs include elementary, reading, and special education.
