Maintenance Technician (Split Shift)

Job Overview

RIE Coatings, located in Dubuque, IA is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance and repair of production equipment, facilities, and Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting mechanical and electrical systems.

Schedule: Core hours would cover part of 1st and 2nd Shift. 1st Shift Hours: Mon. - Fri. 7AM-3PM and 2nd Shift Hours: Mon. - Thurs. 3PM-1AM. Ideally, this candidate would work a split shift of either 4 - 10's or 5 - 8's. Overtime or an occasional weekend for machine maintenance may be needed.

Essential Responsibilities (this is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician):

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all production equipment and building systems including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Responsible for the completion of maintenance work order requests.
• Assist with planning and implementing special projects and plant improvements.
• Work with outside contractors to perform specialized repairs or installations.
• Assist with on-call maintenance service.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in hot and cold weather conditions, both inside facility and outside the facility.
• Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, and stand for hours at a time.
• This job requires routinely lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying a minimum of 50 pounds, occasionally 65 - 75 pounds, and rarely 75 pounds or more.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment with demonstrated knowledge of welding, electrical, mechanical, and some programming.
• Valid driver's license as some business travel may be necessary.
• Basic knowledge of Office365
