Michelin has an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Flow Manager.  This is a permanent full-time position.  Working hours will vary on 3rd shift but primarily be 11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Establish priorities and effectively manage team’s time to complete duties/projects within required time.
  • Coordinate production activity in order to meet safety, quality criteria and productivity across the production floor.
  • Be responsible to increase the level of health and safety throughout the plant by conducting safety audits and promoting safety work.
  • Support Team Leaders in achieving their goals and standards for performance
  • Responsible of managing every aspect regarding productivity by respecting the established processes in all areas and improving the material flow throughout the plant.
  • Provide communication on departmental expectations, motivate team members and identifies opportunity for improvements.
  • Respect ISO 9001 and 14001 process in all activities/duties carried out.
  • Actively participate as member of Safety Committee and provide resources to implement and sustain health & safety activities.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct safety investigations and develop corrective actions related to workplace injuries that occur with team members.
  • Encourage and support team participation in our MMW culture
  • Contribute to manpower needs and review resources on a weekly basis in order to ensure meeting the production schedules established.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources in the recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Coordinate requests made by support functions in order to establish priorities.  
  • May perform training on safety issues ensuring production team members are following safe working practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary in order to achieve overall plant operational KPI’s.
  • Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Flexible hours may be required from time to time to accommodate special projects or situations
  • Support the EMS, QMS & H&S systems.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated leadership skills required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in day to day responsibilities of the position.  
  • Strong competency in problem solving methods and skills in order to support existing needs as well as continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to take ownership and to successfully manage various projects at the same time
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, autonomous, team player and excellent people skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project as necessary. 
  • Effective communication skills with peers, management, employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Self-motivated; takes initiative and works with a minimum of supervision.
  • Team player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and willingly helps others when assistance is needed.
  • Strong knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.
