The Department of Education seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education with content expertise in K-12 special education. This faculty position, with rank open and dependent upon degree and prior teaching experience at the collegiate level, will begin in August 2024. The ideal candidate should have a doctorate in education or related field, at least three years teaching in a K-12 setting with special education endorsement and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with theoretical and practical applications of special education instruction. Applicants who are ABD and highly experienced master’s level candidates will be considered.
The Education Department offers the opportunity to teach and study in our Professional Development School (PDS) programs, which include junior and senior-level interdisciplinary courses in local public and private schools. Majors and areas of study include elementary and special education and/or reading endorsement.
