Smart Retract is growing and is looking to hire a Production Technician. The person for this position will focus on the manufacturing and assembly of our Retract-A-Gate product line with opportunities to grow.  We manufacture and assemble our line of innovative retractable products for home or business. We’re a small company and leaders in our market.  We design, manufacture, sell, distribute, and support our entire line of products making for a unique and unmatched supply chain management and business model.  Our products are 100% Made in USA, and we ship all over the world, every day (see more details at SmartRetract.com).

Job Title: Production Technician

Days/Hours:  Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:30 pm

Job Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week, or more as needed.

Pay: Great compensation offered. Range depending on experience and capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Working team member to assemble, test, and package our product line of retractable safety gates and accessories. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.  Adhere to company policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner. Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards. 

Qualifications and Requirements

• Operate light and heavy equipment ranging from sewing and cutting fabric, hot air welding, pneumatic and electric hand tools, pallet jack, forklift, and other manufacturing and assembly equipment
• Assemble products and other general labor work as needed
• Quality control and inspection
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks – but with excellent quality
• Able to lift approximately 50 to 75 pounds
• Must be safety conscious and adhere to safety regulations
• Knowledge of production processes and equipment
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
