JOB DESCRIPTION

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

 

BASIC FUNCTION

Oversee the development, execution, and performance of short and long-range casino marketing plans. Your tasks in this role will have you analyzing casino marketing programs, developing tactics to meet changing competitive conditions, leading database marketing, maximizing rewards program, enhancing player development, and working towards the optimization of team strategy for growing active game players. Your primary responsibilities include achieving goals in revenue and market share. This important role is ideal for someone who demonstrates passion for analytics and driving growth.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to:   Chief Commercial Officer

Supervises:  Direct Marketing/Advertising Manager and Player Development/Promotions Manager

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the CCO and other stakeholders to prioritize opportunities that build market share, profit growth, and maximize effectiveness of casino marketing activities.
  • Create compelling but profitable incentives, and plan special events and promotions designed to drive Q Rewards program acquisition, player growth, and casino revenue.
  • Guide the development and implementation of performance driven short- and long-term strategic casino marketing plans and player development involving events, tournaments, promotions, and reinvestment strategies within allocated budget parameters.
  • Oversee initiatives around Player Development related to Manager and Casino Host performance regarding customer contact, events, acquisition, and worth goals.
  • Ability to learn and be competent within casino management’s system software to properly analyze data, create pro/postformas, report out to management team, etc.
  • Identify and utilize analytics and reports, emerging industry trends, competition, and demographics to capitalize on marketing opportunities and stay competitive.
  • Perform segmentation and analysis of customer databases to maintain and grow a strong local base of customers along with cultivating outer market and new business aligned with objectives.
  • Support the marketing department to develop monthly, weekly and specialty direct mail postcards, self-mailers, and letters.
  • Conduct analysis and evaluation of direct marketing casino program and developing new strategies as needed.
  • Assist with campaigns and collateral development that promote casino activities and amenities.
  • Communicate casino information in a user-friendly manner to internal and external audiences.
  • Provide on-going training to ensure staff are knowledgeable of the Rewards program and benefits, and all casino marketing programs, promotions, and events.
  • Oversee Island Social marketing calendar and loyalty programs.
  • Assist with property-wide advertising/event plans including media, creative, and execution.
  • Adhere to strict deadlines for internal and external regulatory review.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, Internal Controls and company/departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, contribute to the establishment of said policies as needed.
  • Other duties as requested by management.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA in Marketing or related field, AND 10+ years’ experience in casino marketing management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • Knowledge of computer programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook
  • Ability to obtain IRGC license

  • Willing to work non-traditional schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  • General office environment
  • Occasional smoke environment (in casino)
  • Occasional loud environment (in casino)
  • Occasional travel is required

EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS

  • General office equipment including, but not limited to: Computer, Printer/Large Format Printer, Copier, Scanner, and Postage Machine
  • Programs specific to role including, but not limited to: Gaming Analytics, Aristocrat, Everi Trilogy, Lytho Workflow Management System
