About the Career:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Loan Officer to join our team. As a key member of our lending department, you will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loan applications for both new and existing customers. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals and families achieve the milestone of homeownership.

What You Will Do:

  • Assess clients' financial status, credit history, and property evaluations.
  • Approve or recommend loan approval in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service by guiding clients through the mortgage application process.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on current market trends and loan products to provide the best options for clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the growth of the mortgage portfolio.

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Degree in finance, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Lender or similar role in the banking/financial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, loan processing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and make sound decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in mortgage lending software and MS Office Suite.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to build lasting relationships.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. Additional working hours may be required for this position to ensure the functionality of the department and overall functionality of the bank.

Travel:

Some travel may be required for this position.
