Job Overview

JOB PURPOSE/GOAL: Assist with the administration of credit offerings and the operations of the High School Partnerships department. This role focuses on fostering innovative and fiscally responsible educational partnerships between NICC and local high schools, ensuring the quality academic program and pathway options for high school students.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:
The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class.  Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Partner with Superintendents, Principals, Counselors, Curriculum Directors and other key high school staff to develop initiatives which align with identified goals.
Analyze enrollment data, labor market needs and local advisory feedback to identify new opportunities for growth in college credit coursework.
Collaborate with the Dean of High School Partnerships on initiatives related to concurrent enrollment and accreditation for assigned high schools.
Ensure high schools and students have the necessary equipment, material and supplies for a quality experience with NICC.
Develop and manage resources for counselors, registrars and curriculum directors.
Conduct evaluations and analysis to improve office efficiency and enhance customer service for assigned schools.
Lead logistical planning for center and campus academy courses, including scheduling, technology updates, and addressing instructor and student needs.
Guided Career Pathway
Develop and implement recruitment planning for Early Admission and Exploration academies.
Build educational pathways through engagement with businesses to offer in-demand credit and noncredit opportunities.
Collaborate with Deans and Directors to enhance and develop guided career pathway opportunities.
Identify new opportunities for academies through concurrent and PICC coursework.
Collaborate to create and maintain up to date marketing materials for academies/pathway programming.
Instructors
Liaison between the College and the concurrent enrollment instructors to ensure compliance with state and federal standards, including but not limited to Iowa Department of Education Senior Year Plus, the Higher Learning Commission and the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships.
Onboard new or returning Concurrent Enrollment Instructors following the College Office of Human Resources faculty onboarding process. Coordinate with Dean, Faculty Liaison, DIID team, and Concurrent Enrollment Instructor to ensure accreditation requirements are being met during the concurrent enrollment instructor onboarding process.
Ensure all pieces of faculty onboarding are documented to meet accreditation standards.
Collaborate with Deans, Faculty Liaisons and DIID team to develop professional development opportunities for Concurrent Enrollment Instructors.
Manage textbook adoptions and ensure concurrent enrollment instructors are utilizing current approved textbooks and materials.
Maintain and update resources provided to concurrent enrollment instructors.
Serve on hiring committees for new College faculty and staff.
Students Support
Develop, maintain and update resources provided to concurrent enrollment students including registration and recruitment materials.
Liaison between the students, high school personnel and internal College services to ensure students have equitable access to resources.
Coordinate communication between NICC faculty, counselors and College and Career Coaches to ensure student academic success (e.g., Early Alerts Non-Attendance, Brightspace and Academic Integrity reports.)
Plan and deliver registration and recruitment presentations to high schools and assist in the registration process.
Collaborate and participate in student and parent informational nights and engagement events.
Develop and manage online and in-person orientations for students and parents.
Assist where needed in the high school course enrollment processes.
