Your impact on the team
As a part of the McGraw Hill team, the Junior QA Analyst will perform functional and automated testing for our Product Lifecycle Management systems in Product Hub Cloud. This will include understanding existing system, requirements, test designing, execution. The individual will work closely with leads, test engineers, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution. The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology.
This is a remote position open to applicants currently authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Preference will be given to those residing in Columbus, Ohio.
What you will be doing:
- Interact with QA manager and QA/Dev teams to develop a strong understanding of the project, processes, and objectives.
- Perform Both functional & Automation testing of Product Hub Cloud (PHC) system.
- Design and execute test scripts to perform functional/automated testing.
- Performing end to end SDLC and bug life cycle.
- Document, track, and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools.
- Proactively communicate about the status of testing to various stakeholders.
We're looking for someone with:
- 1-3 years’ overall experience in quality assurance testing.
- 1-2 years’ experience with test automation tools and frameworks, preferably Selenium with Cucumber.
- Proven experience in developing and executing test cases, and test scripts for Web applications.
- Source code management tools such as Git.
- Good programming skills in Java, OOPS concepts etc.
- ISTQB certification is desirable.
- Knowledge of tools such as Jenkins and Maven is a bonus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The pay range for this position is between $62,000 - $72,500 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
