McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a creative, innovative, strategic Associate Instructional Designer, Literacy (K-5) (Project Status) for a Literacy program.

You will be a valuable member of a collaborative group of Instructional Designers, closely partnering with teams focused on content, product management, production, UX, and creative media. As part of this team, you will create robust digital tools, curriculum and learning solutions in a variety of formats that are used by millions of educators and students every day. The Associate Instructional Designer, Literacy (K-5) (Project Status) is a digital savvy content and curriculum expert, responsible and accountable for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements for Literacy programs.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What you will be doing:

• Build digital products using authoring tools, partner with instructional designers, and serve under senior team members while following best practices.
• Handle digital tasks like metadata tagging, concept mapping, digital editing, and contribute to vendor digital launches by creating templates, trackers, and content development guidelines. 
• Ensure accuracy and maintenance of build documentation, perform QA on vendor work, and support digital tools under the guidance of senior team members. 
• Contribute to program planning, curriculum mapping, and create POCs and prototypes, while heavily focusing on accessibility throughout the development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals, troubleshoot technical issues, adapt to changes, and ensure timely completion of schedules.

What you need to be considered:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Literacy, or related field required.
• 0-2 years experience working in digital content development that includes teaching and learning materials.
• Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems.
• Previous K-12 teaching experience.
• Ability to create and visualize animated and interactive content.

The pay range for this position is between $50,000 - $60,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
