9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
or
10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
With the expectation to fill in as necessary, within the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Assigned to work mainly as an Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Patient Care Services. Also provides secretarial assistance to directors within Patient Care Services and leaders of the shared governance teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Adheres to the principles of caring and expected behaviors outlined in MercyOne Medical Center's Model of Caring and Trinity Health's Code of Conduct, fostering a climate where all customers are treated in a manner consistent with MercyOne Medical Center's Mission and Values.
2. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
3. Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Maintains a professional, collaborative work environment so as to foster a positive public image for MercyOne Medical Center.
2. Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information (i.e. HIPAA, Stark, etc.).
3. Provides a high level of customer responsiveness and serves as a role model to encourage a commitment to customer service. A strong service orientation is required.
4. Maintains an excellent working relationship within the department and with all of our internal and external customers.
5. Must be able to establish a filing system that provides easy retrieval.
6. Must possess efficient, effective word processing, and computer skills.
7. Must have ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
8. Must have knowledge of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
9. Must be able to type routine office correspondence and statistical data at 80 to 90 words per minute.
10. Must be able to take and transcribe dictation at 100 words per minute.
11. Good writing skills are required.
12. Effective interpersonal skills are required.
13. Must have ability to make appropriate decisions and regularly perform as an Executive Secretary.
14. Must have an understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. High school education required with secretarial training preferred and 4 years' experience with at least one year previous experience working for a top level manager.
2. Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 5 years thereafter.
