Job Overview
- Provide clerical support for staff in planning and implementing administrative services, projects, and events.
- Attend and participate in staff, board, and committee meetings as needed.
- Manage parish records, including membership, baptisms, weddings, and deaths.
- Update and maintain church management software, mailing lists, and membership directory.
- Coordinate church property use and manage Google calendar.
- Monitor office budget, manage supplies, and assist with purchasing office equipment.
- Prepare bulk mailings, newsletters, bulletins, and non-routine correspondence.
- Maintain church website, social media, and email communication platforms.
- Prepare and submit annual parochial and congregational reports.
- Serve as first contact for parish inquiries, providing detailed information with professionalism.
- Write and process checks bi-weekly, create reports as approved by the treasurer.
- Active congregation member preferred, not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and active listening skills.
- 3-5 years of administrative experience preferred.
- Supervisory and office management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and publishing software.
