Position summary:

Support the utility operations team with direct support for scheduling, entering customer information, documenting work and providing support for the team.

Pay Range: $22.26 - $33.53 per hour / Grade 44 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Reporting Relationship: Operations Manager

Location: Manchester, Iowa

Essential Functions:
ΓÇó Schedule daily work for service and operational employees and/or crews through scheduling tools.
ΓÇó Submit requests to various agencies for facility locating (except in areas where this person is required to be the technician that will be excavating).
ΓÇó Support meter issue investigations, processing meter changes and equipment orders.
ΓÇó Assist with expense reporting, processing invoices, submit invoices for 3rd party damage and invoicing technical services.
ΓÇó Assist in tracking contract deposits and refunds for customer construction.
ΓÇó Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining operations related materials and data entry into electronic systems.
ΓÇó Assist with arranging meetings, updating schedules for emergency plans, ordering office supplies and provide support to Supervisor for building maintenance.
ΓÇó Exercise appropriate level of independent judgment on Company proprietary and confidential matters.
ΓÇó Work with customers on a daily basis to help resolve their service issues.

Additional Responsibilities:
ΓÇó Promote culture of safety, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
ΓÇó Support and manage special projects that may be assigned.
ΓÇó Provide support to other areas of the Company as requested or assigned.

What Is Required:
ΓÇó High School Diploma or equivalent
ΓÇó Minimum of 3 years of customer service, utility industry and/or scheduling experience

What Is Desired:
ΓÇó Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
ΓÇó Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment as a collaborative team member.
ΓÇó Independent, well-organized, self-starter and able to adapt to change.
ΓÇó Ability to develop and implement work processes which contribute to increased efficiencies.
ΓÇó Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
ΓÇó Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
ΓÇó Ability to accurately resolve customer complaints in a diplomatic and professional manner.
ΓÇó Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
ΓÇó Strong interpersonal skills, ability to expertly work with customers and individuals across the organization.
ΓÇó Ability to understand and use continuous improvement tools and concepts.
