Job Title: Bench Jeweler/Goldsmith

Location: Dubuque, IA

Responsibilities

Jewelry Crafting: Expertly create and assemble jewelry from raw materials, utilizing hand tools and precision instruments.
Repair and Restoration: Assess, repair, and restore damaged jewelry, including resizing rings and resetting gemstones.
Stone Setting: Skillfully set various gemstones using precise techniques like prong, bezel, or pave settings.
Polishing and Finishing: Refine jewelry to a flawless finish, restoring luster to metals and gemstones.
Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards, inspecting pieces for defects and making necessary adjustments.
Inventory Management: Manage metals, gemstones, and materials inventory, ensuring adequate stock and organization.

Qualifications

Willingness to learn new skills
Great motor skills
Excellent organizational skills
Customer service minded with a high standard for quality work
Start as an Apprentice Jeweler and work toward becoming a Bench Jeweler. Professional experience as a Bench Jeweler is NOT required for this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay: $20/hour for inexperienced candidates.
Additional commission-based compensation after 6-9 months of training.
Benefits: 401K with 3% company match, health insurance, paid time off.
Work schedule: 2-day weekend, with workdays from Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.
