McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a Bids & Contracts Specialist for our K-12 division. We are in search of a detail-oriented and process-driven person who is also a critical thinker to join our team. Reporting to the Lead Bids & Contract Specialist, this role fucuses on contracts and is responsible for reviewing, assembling and submitting local and state contracts, terms and conditions, and data privacy agreements for our K-12 products and services. Bids and Contracts Specialists are critical members of our Sales Support team and must be able to work closely with our Direct Sales organization.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for modifications to customer documents including district contracts, RFP proposals, and other types of customer paper in order to align with corporate guidelines and best practices all while in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Collaborate with Legal regarding data privacy, district contracts and similar agreements to assess and reduce risk using red-line edits. Often requires detailed research.
- Act as a liaison between McGraw Hill and its internal and external customers regarding contract language negotiations.
- Maintain and monitor project schedules to ensure all tasks stay on track utilizing Smartsheet.
- Proven experience in maintaining and organizing shared resources utilizing One Drive, corporate files, and Smartsheet.
We are looking for someone with:
- BS/BA or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience- legal or educational administration background preferred.
- Experience in reviewing and revising contracts or bids with a competitive team-oriented spirit as well as outstanding organizational and planning skills required and demonstrated strong customer service orientations and a desire to win.
- Experience and understanding of industry and how educational products are sold and delivered is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with editing and writing. Must have a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and business communication, taking a sales-oriented approach when appropriate.
- Ability to think on your feet and pivot quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail. Ability to think in “the grey”.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and Adobe Acrobat. SharePoint, Smartsheet or other multi-user/project management programs are helpful.

The pay range for this position is between $54,500-$70,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
