Job Overview
The Strategic Accounts & Business Development, VP is responsible for leading strategic sales efforts and managing key business relationships to drive incremental, profitable growth. This individual will oversee and develop business strategies to expand existing accounts, identify new distribution opportunities, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. The Strategic Accounts & Business Development, VP will work closely with the Retail Sales, VP, Regional Sales, VPs, and the VP of Sales Product and Marketing to ensure resources support strategic business objectives and growth in established accounts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts and buying groups ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Identify, target, and close new business opportunities in retail channel and adjacent channels.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for strategic account management and new business growth.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and competitive positioning.
- Provide accurate, up-to-date input on inventory management and planning.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure resources support the strategic business objectives and drive growth in established accounts.
- Recognize and present resource plans to the leadership team, including personnel, product, pricing, and service needs.
- Oversee budget development and management for key strategic accounts.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Travel required 75%
