Supervisory Responsibilities:
- People: None other than self.
- Data: Ad orders, Vision Data advertising system, advertising schedules, departmental forms, rate cards, XpanceNET ad order, Affinity X, and reporting functions, Adobe, Word, Excel, Google.
- Things: Computer, office equipment and furniture, production software, and files.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Work efficiently and effectively with the sales team, in-house staff, and advertising clients.
- Work in a team environment with the sales team, department team members and other coordinators to accomplish deadline standards, quality control, revenue growth and expense control within a cohesive and efficient department.
- Function as a coordinator for TH Media advertising sales team by acting as a contact person between sales and the client, sales and creative services, and the client and creative services.
- Communicate regularly with the team, ad representatives and creative services and workflow coordinator to coordinate workflow, streamline efficiency, flag potential problems and otherwise assist in meeting client needs.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare work tickets, advertising copy and suggest basic designs to clients and sales team as needed by your team. Process print, online, preprint and national order-entry.
- Correctly enter all ads into the advertising system as specified by team members.
- Coordinate the flow of all ads and advertising artwork to the creative staff.
- Conduct sales and prospecting calls as needed by your sales team.
- Assist in cross training to maintain adequate service levels and team environment.
- Assure that daily deadlines are met while coordinating ad copy and/or components.
- Verify and Approve final ad proofs as needed to meet daily workflow deadlines.
- Process co-op billing as requested from the sales team, manager, or client on an as-needed basis.
- Use customer websites and manufactured websites to compile copy and photos for ads.
- Organize and coordinate paper verification.
- Ensure all projects are completed within assigned deadlines while working with team members and others.
- Coordinate pre-production ad flow of special projects.
- Suggest and initiate new methods and procedures to enhance efficient operation of the department to your manager.
- Maintain a "customer comes first" environment with pro-active commitment to internal and external customer service.
- Meet with clients as requested by your sales team members.
- Assist the sales team by handling phone contact to accounts on an incoming and outgoing basis.
- Actively participate in all aspects of the Great Game of Business.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

Skills: Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening), keyboarding skills, ability to coordinate the content on an ad from concept through final output. Ability and desire to work in a team environment to achieve group goals. Demonstrated English and spelling skills. Critical thinking and being able to make quick and accurate decisions when under pressure from deadlines.
Knowledge: Two years post high school education, technical school, or equivalent experience preferred. Knowledge of design techniques and experience in designing newspaper and/or digital advertising and implementation. Adobe, and considerable knowledge of the Internet and various platforms, MS Office products and Google Drive knowledge required.
