Job Overview

Job Title: CNC Operator

Mi-T-M is seeking a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) operator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC mills and lathes. They will have a working knowledge of the fabrication work flow process and have a willingness to learn quality control expectations, machine setup techniques, and ability to read/use measurement tools.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Checks load for proper raw stock, removes protective materials and empty skids. Checks machine settings for proper specifications. Sets up equipment for scheduled orders.

  • Adjusts equipment as needed for the particular job to meet customer specifications. Read & understand blueprints and quality checklists.

  • Inspects finished product for compliance with specifications, makes adjustments and repairs as necessary. Check parts with gauges and calipers.

  • Cleans up equipment at end of run. Clean & debur parts as necessary.

  • Makes repairs on equipment, replacing worn or damaged parts. Assists department mechanic in making major repairs and overhauls.

  • Keeps count of completed product on each run and records and disposes of spoilage in designated manner. Posts production, delays, and cause of delays.

  • Notifies supervisor of any major incidence of recurring equipment malfunction or poor quality raw material or production.

Additional Responsibilities:

Cleans and lubricates equipment.

Sweeps up around equipment at the end of the shift.

Job Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn new tasks and skills
  • Ability to read/use measurement tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Work environment includes exposure to a variety of tools, equipment, and components.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
  • Willingness to work overtime, possibly some Saturdays.

Department/Location: Fabrication - Machining Center

Hours: Monday through Thursday (3:00 pm - 1:15 am) with overtime as necessary
