Job Overview

As a Software Developer at Dupaco, you’ll be a part of a collaborative team that creates custom software to improve our internal and external member’s experience. You'll be responsible for supporting the credit union by developing well engineered code, resulting in maintainable, and testable, enterprise level systems and services. What you'll Do:

  • Provide Software Development support for tickets from IT Support and Help Desk departments.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and support custom software.
  • Develop and maintain documentation within knowledge base.
  • Assists the Quality Assurance team by testing code and writing test cases as needed.
  • Provides support to resolve test related roadblocks.
  • Participate in weekly sprints
  • Actively seek opportunities to deepen job knowledge of software development tools and programming techniques,   by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar Technology based degree, or equivalent experience.
  • <1 year experience in Software Development or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using front-end web languages (like JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, and Angular).
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL or equivalent database experience.
  • Experience using object-oriented programming languages, required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to represent the financial institution in a positive and professional way when dealing with membership, vendors, and other staff members.
  • Must be able to prioritize while working on multiple projects at one time and multi task.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, and an aptitude for learning new technologies.

Please note: This position will be located in Dubuque, Iowa.
