Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Assist with leading the overall operations of the Game Technicians.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
a) Reports to: Director of Gaming Operations / Casino Operation Shift Managers
b) Leads: Game Technicians
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, Internal Controls and company and departmental policies & procedures.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Representatives, particularly the duty to disclose and cooperate per IRGC rule 13.2 (1) h.
- Assists with preventative maintenance and technical troubleshooting of all gaming implements within the casino.
- Work effectively with Casino Operations Managers to provide preventative maintenance to all machines.
- Performs maintenance and/or repair as needed or as directed.
- Assists with move, install, reinstall, convert, and remove slot machines as needed when casino floor plans are revised.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other departments and employees.
- Ensures proactive customer service, personally resolving customer problems as required.
- Assists with records of all machines, inventory, required upgrades and parts.
- Assists Slot Representatives with ticket restock and ticket fills per Internal Controls as needed or directed. Reports any problems or concerns to the Casino Operations Shift Manager.
- Accurately provide Casino Operation Shift Managers with repair assessments and part recommendations.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Be able to comprehend basic mechanical slot machine functions and perform minor mechanical repairs such as bill jams, ticket jams, etc.
- Willing and able to work non-traditional schedules during special projects, particularly early mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Acts as a technical advisor to the Casino Operations Shift Manager and/or IRGC Representative on duty as required.
- Personal accountability and ability to keep detailed records of machine inventory, updates, and parts.
- Assists in other projects as needed.
- Be able to comprehend basic electronic theory and its practical applications.
- Be able to learn intermediate and advanced electronic theory and application.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Efficient in Excel and Word Document programs.
- Strong leadership, training, customer service and decision-making skills.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Generally light, with occasional medium and/or heavy, work. (Up to a minimum of 50 pounds)
- Able to spend extended periods standing, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, grasping and/or lifting.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
- Generally, works indoors, occasionally exposed to high noise levels & cigarette smoke (in casino), as well as high voltages on some equipment. Some minor outdoor work occasionally required.
