About the Company

Since 1968 Dubuque Montessori School has provided thousands of children the learning tools needed to build a solid foundation for future growth, development, and success.  We are a parent-run, nonprofit organization.  Parents serve on the board of directors, which in conjunction with the administrator, Montessori trained teaching staff, and the experienced assistants, makes important decisions regarding the school.  Our carefully prepared classrooms offer socialization and formal learning experiences  for children ages 2-6 based on the wonderful philosophy and curriculum of Dr. Maria Montessori.  The children are taught how to be respectful, responsible and caring individuals.  Research proves that the best predictor of future success is a positive sense of ones self.  Our program, based on self-directed, non-competitive activities, help each child develop a positive self-image along with the confidence to face challenges and adapt to change with optimism.  Experiences in a Montessori classroom instill a love of learning in the child that will carry them through their lifetime.
