Job Overview

Universal Tank & Fabrication is an industry leading manufacturer of Pressure Vessels and Custom Fabrications serving customers throughout North America. We are currently seeking a full-time Project Estimator in Dubuque, IA.  Join the UTF family and become part of an organization that is “Delivering on our Promise of Quality”.

Duties & Responsibilities

We pride ourselves on demonstrating to our customers and employees that trust, honor, and integrity are core UTF attributes.  Qualified candidates must be able to deliver custom fabrication quotes that meet our customers’ needs in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying blueprints, specifications, and other related documents
• Consulting with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to formulate estimates
• Ensure code compliance of project estimates, if applicable
• Confer with engineers on change orders to develop adjusted cost estimates
• Develop and maintain strong organizational, leadership, analytic, and interpersonal skills
• Develop a strong knowledge of ASME, API, and other fabrication codes
• Manage multiple estimates and quote revisions at a time to meet customer deadlines

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required (Specifically Excel)
• Experience in industrial fabrication processes preferred
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong mathematic and practical application skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Customer Service Experience
