Your Responsibilities
As a Display Systems Engineer for John Deere Construction located in Dubuque, IA, you will…
- Maintain display portfolio, delivery schedules and track status
- Define display functional requirements and interface; communicate and clarify requirements with multiple stakeholders
- Coordinate display delivery across development teams including Product Group, UX (User Experience), Software Design, Software PV&V (Project Verification and Validation) teams and others
- Define and integrate display, hardware and software into vehicle platforms
- Lead a daily standup consisting of Excavator systems, UX, Software Design, Software PV&V and other development teams
- Ensure timely coordination with stakeholders as needed
- Act as the Excavator display owner/liaison, e.g. understand unique Excavator customer needs, prioritize display requests including all display platforms, support Excavator builds, Customer Advocacy Groups (CAGs), etc. as needed

What Skills You Need
- Strong, demonstrated problem solving skills
- 3 or more years of project leadership experience, demonstrating scheduling, task planning and resource management
- 5 or more years of technical experience relating to the design and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Excellent teaming and communication skills
- The ability to work in a self- directed environment and mentor fellow Engineers
- Experience writing functional, performance and durability requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
- Familiarity with operating Construction, Forestry or Ag off- road equipment
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering or MIT/CalTech certificate completion
- Experience with technology solutions utilized in the construction industry, such as grade control, telematics, etc.
- Technical skills and knowledge in CAN communications protocols such as the J1939 and ISO 14229 standards
- Technical skills and knowledge in Ethernet communication protocol
- Advanced degree in an engineering discipline
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
