Job Overview
PAYROLL COORDINATOR
Truck Country, one of the largest Freightliner dealerships, in the US, has an opening for a Payroll Coordinator at our downtown office in Dubuque.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze, prepare and input weekly payroll data
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reports
- Preparing payroll journal entries for the general ledger
- Oversee compliance with wage garnishments
- Preparing and issuing manual check payments
- Reviewing and reconciling outstanding employee loans
- Other duties as assigned
Job requirements include:
- Ability to think logically and prioritize tasks
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Previous payroll experience, or a 2-year degree is preferred, but not required. Basic accounting knowledge is also preferred.
