For more than 41 years, Digga has led the industry in attachment design, manufacture and distribution. With head office based in Australia, a modern facility to service America and Canada was opened in Dyersville, Iowa in April 2013 as demand for Digga’s range of screw piling foundation and drilling drives continued to grow.
Digga North America, LLC is seeking an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to be a part of our team at our location in Dyersville, Iowa. The Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative will be an active and instrumental member of the Sales team by servicing our end users, distributors, and qualified new distributors for the purpose of maximizing sales, building key relationships through excellent customer service and increasing the overall performance of the territory.
This position also plays a key role in supporting and improving customer service levels by making process improvements at all levels, working alongside key Managers, sales staff, branches and planning staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential responsibilities for this position include:
- Engage with customers in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner to deliver exceptional experiences and nurture lasting relationships
- Process orders and manage supply to customers ensuring best delivery practices are being met
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met, namely planning, dispatch and service
- Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries regarding quotes, orders, status, complaints, returns, and warranties.
- Keep customers informed throughout the order and dispatch process ensuring customers are notified of any delays prior to their expected delivery date
- Provide sales support to field sales representatives by delivering lead time information, brochures, product updates, contact information, consignment & returns
- Advise customers of best application and quote accordingly using company CRM and ensure quotes are being followed up and status updated
- Conduct research with available resources to satisfy customer inquiries delivering exceptional experiences and nurture lasting relationships
- Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets by explaining the benefits of additional products and services to customers and seeking opportunities to sell
- Perform cold calls aligned with sales requirements; seek after sales service and business opportunities
- Update the CRM to reflect opportunities, history, qualified leads and service call information.
- Maintain current contact information for customers
- Use Digga Wiki to gain product knowledge as a first point of information. Build expert, dynamic knowledge of the company’s products and service
- Other tasks and duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or equivalent experience preferred.
- A degree in or knowledge of manufacturing /agricultural processes and practices helpful.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of sale experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with other department and team members is critically important
- Strong working abilities in MS Offices a must. Experience with EPR or CRM systems helpful.
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed
- Demonstrated desire to work in a dynamic customer service environment going above and beyond to satisfy the customer
- Excellent communication, customer service and sales skills, including resolving customer grievances in positive and empathetic manner
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work
