Job Overview

Manage all IT activites in the organization.  Implement and maintain the policies and goals for the IT department to support the company’s needs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):

  • Analyze workflow, delegate projects and meet departmental goals
  • Develop and monitor performance standards
  • Provide input on hiring decisions for technical staff
  • Lead projects including the design and deployment of new IT Systems & Services
  • Manage team members regarding discipline, performance, and scheduling.
  • Delegate project tasks to team members
  • Coach/Mentor staff on troubleshooting strategies and resolution
  • Serve as the final escalation point for high visibility troubleshooting
  • Be skilled in the following areas:
    • Ability to promote Professionalism and Pride within the work force.
    • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities on short notice.
    • Ability to carry out Company policies and understand proper protocol.
    • Willingness to learn and able to cross train in various areas of the department.
    • Communicate and Listen Effectively
    • Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
    • Work closely and in the spirit of cooperation with the Corporate and local teams.
  • Maintain onsite regular attendance as scheduled
  • Participate in process quality improvement activities and program certification.
  • Any other job duties as may be delegated by supervisor.

Education, Skills and Knowledge required:

Bachelor’s dregeen in an IT-related field plus at least 5 years of experience with the specific business systems, hardware and networking services utilized by the company:

  • TMWSuite Transportation Management System or other Microsoft-SQL based ERP solution
  • HPE (Aruba) Switches and Wireless Access Points
  • Silver Peak SD-WAN (or similar)
  • 8x8 (Cloud hosted) VOIP Telephony
  • Windows Server 2019 (or higher)
  • VMWare Server Virtualization
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Must possess outstanding communication (oral/written) skills
  • Must be organized and possess excellent time management skills
  • Must be skilled in customer service and human relations and act in a professional and positive manner in all facets of interaction
  • Present neat, clean, professional appearance of self and use proper business etiquette
  • Must be skilled in working with confidential information
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to travel occasionally.
