Job Overview

A Dubuque company is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This is an entry-level position. If you have an interest or background in accounting, this might be a role for you! This is a long-term, evaluation to hire position.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for requesting Health Plan funding from clients to pay claims and managing the claim fund from beginning to end
Checking in physical checks, processing them, and posting cash received to the client accounts
Other items of responsibility include researching questions and helping to make sure the bank accounts reconcile

Requirements:

There are daily and monthly deadlines that need to be met with this position, so attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills are important in this role.
Basic knowledge of accounting and Excel experience is also helpful
