The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Development Officer – Digital Communications. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development, this position is responsible for carrying out designated duties and responsibilities for Clarke’s annual giving program, focusing on long-term objectives designed to grow revenue and enhance donor participation. This position will develop digital fundraising strategies and tactics that engage new donors, renew past donors, and upgrade current donors.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Actively manage a portfolio of donor prospects to secure gifts of $1,000 or more through digital communications.
- With input from the Executive Director of Development, plan and implement the annual Clarke Day online day of giving event.
- Coordinate stewardship activities for assigned donors.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications include:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and three years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or a related field are required. Exceptional oral and written communication and people skills as well as knowledge of the MS Office suite and related technology are essential, as is the proven ability to work effectively as a team member. Knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge database or a similar CRM software is preferred. Ability work occasional weekends and evenings is required.
