Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

The Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens (DABG) were established in 1980 and comprise 56 acres. Admission is free, and the grounds are open year-round from 7 a.m. to dusk, welcoming around 100,000 visitors from all over the world each year. We have around 250 volunteers who help in our gift shop, office, gardens, maintenance, planning, and operations. DABG is a popular spot in the community for outdoor weddings, concerts, and special events. DABG includes the following gardens: Herbs, Hostas, Roses, Cacti, Prairie, Wildflowers, Hydrangeas, Garden of Eat'n, Japanese Garden and Koi Pond, Formal English Garden, Deciduous and Conifer Collections, and more! The mission of the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is: To become a cherished destination for all, where vibrant gardens create transformative experiences that connect people, inspire learning, and deepen appreciation for nature.
