Michelin has immediate opening for a Grit Blast Operator.  This is a full-time position.  Working hours would be primarily 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Experience with a fork truck & walk behind would be preferred.
  • Basic job functions:
    • Operate Manual and Robotic Grit Blast.
    • Operate Walk Behind pallet lift in support of Manual Grit Blast Operation.
    • Complete masking parts for paint after grit blast operation is complete.
    • 5S in MGB/RGB areas.

Other Requirements & Experience

  • Valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow standardized work and work instructions.
  • Complete individual work assignments within an assigned timeline.
  • Must have an excellent ability to work with others and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work within a team and take direction from other team members.
  • Overtime will be required from time to time, and this may require weekends.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Dependable, lift up to 45 lbs. and work in a hot working environment and fast-paced environment.
