Michelin has an immediate opening for a 2nd SHIFT – PLANT WIDE FLOATER. Working hours will be 3pm – 1130pm. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Qualified candidate will be required to perform work in all the paint line areas (Load, unload, masking, wet & powder paint, etc.);
- Qualified candidate will be required to perform work in all the assembly departments (Main line, Sub Cell, Toro Cell, Flex Cell);
- Qualified candidate will be required to work & learn all positions within the warehouse and shipping & receiving department.
- Material handling (fork truck/walk behind/reach truck/tugger);
- Flexibility with working schedule and willingness to work in all departments.
- Ability to follow standardized work and work instructions.
- Complete individual work assignments within an assigned timeline.
- Must have an excellent ability to work with others and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to work within a team and take direction from other team members.
- Take part in improvement projects.
- Clean (5S);
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Mandatory overtime and weekend work will be necessary.
- Perform other related or similar duties as assigned.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Education and Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, plus 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing is a plus.
- Must pass medical evaluation to be compliant with wearing a full air supplied suit and/or half mask respirator.
- Able to obtain a fork truck/walk behind license.
