2nd Shift Supervisor

Job Overview

• Lead shift operations while performing hands-on production and equipment duties.
• Operate, monitor, and adjust production lines to maintain quality, specifications, and efficient product flow.
• Start up and manage key equipment (steam generators, air compressors) and select proper processing recipes.
• Verify raw material quality, complete changeovers, and ensure accurate line setup.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Operate forklifts/hoists to move and document WIP materials.
• Complete all production and quality documentation accurately.
• Enforce GMPs, safety standards, and food safety compliance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure end-of-shift housekeeping.

• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production/packaging lines, equipment start-up, and troubleshooting.
• Effective communicator with ability to lead teams and manage minor conflicts.
• Proficient in completing production and quality paperwork.
• Certified to operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and schedule review.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for shifts, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to balance supervision with hands-on work.
